AVP/VP – Investment Banking

Key Responsibilities: 

Under the grudance of experienced team members:

  • Prepare Chinese and English written client proposals
  • Conduct due diligence, and financial analysis and modelling  
  • Provide general transaction support (such as liaison with various professional parties, preparation of written Chinese and English documentation and client visits) 
  • Participate in origination activities and related work    

 Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in Finance / Accounting or related discpline
  • At least 5 years of working experience in investment banking related financial institutes
  • Major in business administration or related academic discipline is preferred but not a must
  • Be a strong team player
  • Good command in written, oral and typing Mandarin and English
  • Good quantitative capabilities (experience in financial modelling is preferred)
  • Proficient in Word, Powerpoint and Excel

Analyst/Associate – Investment Banking

Key Responsibilities: 
Under the guidance of experienced team members:

Vice President – Internal Audit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement team processes within the business. Work with peers to identify and define process enhancement opportunities. This includes objectives, measurements, and key transaction types. To develop the process flow and narratives for the business if necessary.
  • Perform risk assessment of the business activities within the scope of the audit. Provide consultative and advisory services on matters pertaining to governance, security and control and related business issues in operations and processes.
  • Provide strong leadership to the critical functions of internal audit, governance, controls and risk assessment at the group level and locally.
  • Identify management practices in the five components of control used to ensure each key risk is properly controlled and monitored.
  • Develop and execute a risk-based sampling and testing approach to determine whether the most important management controls are operating as intended.
  • Perform risk assessment and fraud investigations.
  • Work closely with Head Office to ensure timely submission of internal audit reports.
  • Provide timely updates and information to other stakeholders and management team on the status of internal audit plans and activities and the results of reviews undertaken 

Requirements:

  • Around 10 years of working experience in financial services industry, preferred with prior exposure in client products, finance, risk, operations, IT and/or compliance roles
  • Around 5 years of working experience in internal auditing or similar roles
  • Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English languages 
  • Relevant professional qualifications will be a plus
  • A degree holder 

Vice President – Finance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing business analytics in order to drive productivity, efficiency and profitability of the business including regulatory reporting, finance operations, investment accounting and performance reporting for business in Hong Kong.
  • Oversee annual budgeting process, implementation and monitoring of approved budgets, publish performance and financial metrics, keep management abreast of any critical risk control issues, expense gaps and anticipated trending;
  • Continually seek to streamline reporting processes to improve quality and timeliness for financial information
  • Manage the liquidity of the company, advise management on investment and asset allocation, and appropriate balance sheet management actions;
  • Coordinate audit activities, accountable for follow up actions from the audit findings
  • Work with the management/business functions to facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures financial policies, procedures, and solutions positively support the company’s evolving strategy
  • Understand the internal and operating controls surrounding the financial process to ensure the quality and integrity of financial data are properly captured and reported

Requirements:

  • A qualified CPA with degree in Finance or Accounting or Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Master degree is preferable but not compulsory.
  • Solid experience relevant financial analytics and business planning experience gained from International Banks or Financial Institutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong leadership and business acumen.

 

Business Analyst/Application Specialist – IT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and analyze the business requirements for the Private Wealth Management department & Research department, translate into technical requirements.
  • Liaise and Coordinate with the solution providers and internal IT teams (both HK and Mainland China) to implement the application & infrastructure required by the business.
  • Design and implement system interfacing processes in the front-to-back trade processing flow.
  • Plan & Conduct system testing, and Coordinate with the business to complete the UAT
  • Provide technical assistance on FIX Client Onboarding and Exchange / market new initiatives and mandatory upgrades.
  • Provide day to day support to front to back Office business users on application usage, resolving system issue on front-to-back trade processing, data & report generation, integration with external counterparties.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Information System, Computer or related Engineering disciplines
  • 7 years working experience related to the Information Technology area.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services institution, focusing on front & middle office business application implementation & support, with real application implementation & rollout projects experience.
  • Working experience with front-office trade processing systems.
  • Solid knowledge of the technology involved in Private Wealth Management business covering different asset classes including Equities, Derivatives, Investment Fund, Structured OTC products, etc. 
  • Good understanding of other business areas in Financial Industry (e.g. Retail brokerage, Asset Management) is a bonus.
  • Good knowledge of back office trade processing & regulatory requirements on IT systems is also desired.
  • Computer Programming & Scripting knowledge required: Perl/VB Scripting, SQL
  • Operating System knowledge required: Windows desktop, Linux
  • Good communication skills with proven track records of business user & IT coordination.

 

Vice President – Risk Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the internal control for all business activities.
  • Review operational risk incident reports and perform root-cause analysis. Follow up the remedial action to minimize the operational risk.
  • Coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) exercise with IT department.
  • Prepare regular operational risk report to management and Head office.
  • Participate in operational risk related projects and tasks required from Head office.
  • Implementation on operational risk policy and outsourcing policy.
  • Collection of operational risk data, develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Support other risk management functions & backup to other in risk management department.
  • Assist Internal Audit Department on C-SOX projects.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years related working experience in operational risk management from financial institutions or audit experience from Accounting firms.
  • Professional qualifications in accounting and finance (i.e. CFE, HKICPA, CFA, FRM, etc).
  • Understanding business activities including brokerage, structured finance, investment banking, asset management.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Good time management and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to communicate with all levels including senior management and Head office.

 

Associate – Corporate Coverage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the independent development of Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region's corporate customers, including local state-owned enterprises, listed companies and local financing platform vehicles.
  • Responsible for the coordination with the support of Hong Kong product departments in accordance of her customers’ investment and financing needs.
  • Assist to the marketing works of the department head, including travel arrangements, customer’s KYC and preliminary proposal preparation.
  • Supply and improve the department's customer information database from time to time, upon the requests from department head.
  • To compose the department monthly report and to collect relevant business statistics, according to the requirements of the company.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by company leaders or department head.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics / finance or related field
  • At least more than two years working experience in the related fields
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office products, tools and utilities for business use
  • Good command in written and spoken Mandarin and English

 

Equity Research Analyst (AVP/VP)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for equity analysis, research writing, and arranging client events
  • Providing research services to Investment Banking and Institutional clients and advices on clients’ portfolios
  • Conducting roadshows with institutional clients
Qualifications:
  • Degree or above
  • At least 4 years’ working experience in equity research
  • Holder of CFA and SFC license type 4 regulated activity is highly preferred
  • Solid research and financial modeling and data processing skills
